Nasce a Saint-Martin Boulogne in Francia nel 1926. Frequenta l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts di Parigi e nel 1949 l'atelier di Fernand Léger. Nel 1960 a Parigi fonda il GRAV (Groupe de Recherche d’Art Visual) insieme a H. Garcia Rossi, J. Le Parc, F. Morell1
